I'm running it too, it's working great for me. Had a little burp when I flashed a battery mod framework-res.apk and I had to re-load my nandroid, but that was my fault.

Honestly couldn't care about google voice or swype voice input, but it fixed my GPS and compass, so I'm happy. It doesn't seem as fast to me, as some are saying, but it's way way more usable during a media scan or app install now.

I am surprised there's not an AOSP build yet, thought the boot loader was open? The Droid 1 had an AOSP build up 24 hours after the Froyo source was posted.

Looks like the GPS fix has been ripped out of the new firmware and made into an installable zip: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=400533&d=1284410127

For those who have no idea how to install the file here's a copy/paste I found on xda's site by zephiK
Download the file and put it on (/sdcard/) directory
Installing this requires root access.
Have root access? Get ROM Manager from the market and flash Clockwork Recovery... boot into Clockwork Recovery... flash from zip... choose zip from sdcard.. select the gps fix .zip... restart

its not hard.. pretty much, Clockwork Recovery 101

You also have to root the phone so here is where I went to root it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=739304

The proprietary RFS filesystem is throwing devs for a loop. #blamewes ;)
