New VIA Hyperion drivers close performance gap with nForce2?

From the VIA site it looks as if the KT400 chipset gets a major boost using the new drivers. Could this come close to closing the performance gap between the KT400 and Nvidia's nForce2 chipset?

The KT400 was not made to be a REAL competitor against the nForce2. Now the KT400a is supposed to have Dual Channel DDR and some other updates.
 
Well I updated a KT400 Epox board and I am pretty happy with it, Building I have never seen a major performance gap with the KT400's and the nforce 2's, Not putting anything down, Seems like the boards get better all the time
