I just downloaded the new VIA 4 in 1 (4.29) drivers... this is just to remind some of you guys that don't check often.

You guys are way off the minute on the 4-in-1 drivers. First of all, the 4.29s came out like a month ago, second, the 4.29s are finaled.

Hey, I have a life too, but I know how to keep things up to date, you dont have to sit around your PC all day to know how to get the newest official drivers. That page can be found under "technical support", and then click "drivers", they redesigned their drivers page, and I have no clue how you dug up that old page.

Thats just the link I've had in my favorites for their driver page. I routinely check it but obviously it was not the right page. I didn't know they redesigned their driver page. I musta missed your previous thread about the final release. Oh well, I'm updated now...c-ya.

Settle down people. :)

Anyway, I had a few problems, until I just updated to the new 4in1's about 2 weeks ago. Download them.

<< I'm using 4.28 ... so, what's the difference? >>

the 4.28's busmastering caused the IDE drives to be labeled SCSI.. which is bad

actually, 4.29 final been out for quite sometime, you only need to be a medium-to-full-time to know it... :)

and for me, I was kinda shocked that I got 1.4 fps increased from 4.24 to 4.29, at first I thought I would'nt even have any increase.
