I just received an email from chessbrain for the what I think is the official release of version 3 of the chessbrain software.
The new version requires you to create a new account if you wish to not work anonymously or be on a team. Below is the text of email that I got.

That's just a week away!

At this time we recommend that you register at our new online member system and

I'm running the linux version and have had some problems with it updating my peernode monitor, but otherwise it seems to be crunching fine

Great, no Windows CLI, and the damn thing needs to have that "CB Agent" running in the taskbar too.

With no CLI, I can't have it installed as a service, which means 2 of my 3 computers won't run it most of the time

ALSO, you can't specify a hostname for the PeerNode monitor, only IP address, which means that others probably won't use my Peernode Monitor in case my IP changes

They've really screwed up the client for me this time round...and it was so nice before 🙁

Confused, can you run cbpncli.exe as a service? You don't need the taskbar program, that is only what runs the autoupdate.
