I tried using my version of audiogalaxy and it says I have to update. But, when I downloaded the new update, installation requires me to agree to that stupid *@#&%*&# gator crap that causes popups. I remember from before that I couldn't uninstall it separately. Anyone know if using adware will remove gator and allow me to run audiogalaxy? Thanks.

What do you use? I get horrendous download speeds with morpheus and sometimes w/ kazaa. Audiogalaxy always has what I'm looking for, especially the hard to find foreign songs.

I use WinMX. Very nice software but I hate the new version it gives you all the users that you're downloading it from. I don't need to know all those crap as long as I can download the file. I like it because it's easier to connect and has a lot of Remixes of the Dance tunes.

I just try another one the other day. It's called Qtrax not bad. Didn't get to use it long enough to give you the full detail how good or bad it is.

Heard that Audio Galaxy just went down the tube like Napster. I found some good song from them in the past.

Yup audiogalaxy is no more. Try searching for a song and it gives you the littlecopyrighted X in the box. Can't get anything from them anymore.

The death of Audiogalaxy is tragic, but what makes it REALLY disgusting is that EVERYTHING is being blocked, even if the artists don't mind their music being traded. How do I know? Because I searched for MY BAND and saw that no one could trade it! Thanks RIAA - since we're an indie band on a small label that can't afford to payola our way onto MTV and radio, you've shut down yet another way that people can find our music to sample before they plunk down the $10 for the whole CD.

BTW: I can hear you guys snickering when I said "buy", but if everyone steals everything, who's gonna want to make more? It costs MONEY to make records and I can't quit the day job and concentrate on music 24/7 if you punks excuse never buying anything with the bullsh*t mantra of "Music should be free. If you're making music to get money, you're not a real artist." Hey, Bub...DIE!!! I'm not in it solely for the money, but shouldn't the musicians get paid for entertaining you? You pay the makers of games (more laughter from the w4r3z clowns), movies, books, etc., so why rip off the musicians?!?!
