you can get it here http://unreal.epicgames.com/

this time it's only OGL no D3D. for me or better said my GF2MX D3D sucks. I got higher fps in D3D than in OGL but gameplay/mouse movement is much smoother then in D3D. dunno why... UT.ini should look like this (default):

[OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice]
RefreshRate=75
DetailTextures=1
UseTrilinear=1
UseS3TC=1
UseTNT=0
LODBias=0
UseMultiTexture=1
UsePalette=1
UseAlphaPalette=0
Translucency=1
VolumetricLighting=1
ShinySurfaces=1
Coronas=1
HighDetailActors=1
MaxAnisotropy=0
AlwaysMipmap=0
UsePrecache=0
SupportsLazyTextures=0

but if you want more peformance and better image quality then take 'my' settings ;)
if you have an nvidia powered card then 'Enable anisotrop filtering' in the OGL settings. bilinear filtering + anisotrop looks better than just trilinear but if you have GF2 or higher then trilinear+ anisotrop will kick ass!

[OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice]
RefreshRate=85
DetailTextures=0
UseTrilinear=0
UseS3TC=1
UseTNT=0
LODBias=0
UseMultiTexture=1
UsePalette=1
UseAlphaPalette=0
Translucency=1
VolumetricLighting=1
ShinySurfaces=1
Coronas=1
HighDetailActors=1
MaxAnisotropy=0
AlwaysMipmap=0
UsePrecache=0
SupportsLazyTextures=0

Hmmm,

I'll give your settings a try. I just downloaded and tried out the new beta OpenGL dll file and this is the best Unreal Tournament has ever looked or ran.

cool, seems you are turning off detailed textures. That can't look better.

Auric: the performance hit 'Detail Textures=1' is too big on my 32MB-DDR-64bit-data-path-crippled-Creative-GeForce2MX. I'm playing in the low 40fps range in 1024x768x32bit. And Detail Textures=0 is the only compromise I accept to get good performance and great image quality (IMHO, it doesn't look that bad just smoother ;))

Sure if you have a faster card then crank it all up :)
