Hi all,
I just recently completed a major overhaul of my system, changing up to the following setup..
AMD Athlon 64 x2 6000+
Zalman CNPS97000 cooler
Asus Crosshair motherboard
2 x 1GB OCZ ddr2 800mhz
ATI Radeon X1950XT 256mb
NEC Optiarc SATA DVDrw.
This was couple with my exisiting Antec Truepower 2 480W, 2 x 160gb IDE HDD and 300gb Seagate Sata HDD.
My first issue begain with trying to install windows XP home onto the SATA, for some reason the system didnt like it, although the install would complete windows was not stable, it simply didnt like it and would crash within a few minutes of startup..
So i went back to the original setup of using one of the IDE drives as the system drive. Thats how it is setup now..
However randomly the system will hang, no BSOD, just everything stops working, no mouse movement, no response to keyboard and i have to reset the system...
The computer has been tested in a shop by a friend, memory tested and found to be fine, windows fully updated etc but he couldnt find an issue that would cause the crashing...
Temps are good sat at around the 32 degrees celsius mark so overheating is unlikely....
Any ideas as to a possible problem with this?
