New Unreal2 Review...

3DGPU has the scoop. I'm kind of inclind to agree with their findings if I'm honest. It doesn't feel like Unreal at all.....maybe it will grow on me.

I'm kinda lukewarm on it so far, like I was about UT2K3. It's like they traded fun for graphics.

After reading that review and a few others, I suddenly don't feel the urge to get the game. Then again, I guess paying for the graphics *should* be worth it. Hopefully it'll run on my lowly AXP1600+ and GFTi4200

I'm running it on an XP1700+ with a GF4MX440, it'll run dead smooth on yours so don't worry.
Anyway I thought UT2K3 was fantastic, and Unreal 2 is way superior to the original, it's easily one of the greatest games this year and perhaps the best SP FPS games ever IMHO. UT I still admit is my fav MP FPS though UT2K3 is below only because my GFX card doesn't run it well, it's too stuttery at time and unplayable 🙁

Thanks for the info Varsh. The GeForce 4 series aren't too expensive nowadays. You can put one of those babies in yer rig and off you go 😉 Just read Ace's Hardware upgrade guide and it seems I can still squeeze a LOT of life from my KT266A mobo by upgrading the CPU 😛

Uhh... Don't they all? 🙂

Whaddya mean blast everything and hope it dies? The Skaarj are deadly like hell and can deflect a hell of a lot of bullets with their claws, and well, everything's really well balanced, unlike other games, with this game you have to use all your weapons per level 😛, well almost all anyway.

Gamespot gave it a 7.3 reviewers gave it a 6.8. I have finished the game and I will give it a solid 8 the weapons storyline and graphics make it a good game. It isnt the best fps game ever but it is hardly a bad game IMHO. You cant go wrong with the weapons choice and the great things the alt fire button brings to the game. I also like the fact it isnt a very hard game to play your not going to die every 2 seconds and the game makes energy and health quite availiable. Is it worth 50 bucks thats hard to say. But for those thinking the reviews dont make it a worth while game I have to disagree, it is to short as most have said thats the only fault I see.

In essence, you're still trying to blast the monsters (ok, ok, not just everything 😛) no matter how powerful/strong they are till they die rite? 🙂
