Can you IMAGINE what an absolute b*tch that stuff would be to hand-terminate tho? :Q

It's gotta be stranded (stranded - jumpers only, no in-wall).

I could probably terminate it - I can terminate anything .... just got to get someone to hold it far enough away to focus on it - my arms aren't long enough (or maybe get a glasses / contacts update  )

They've been making coax that small for decades (RG176 (?)).

I like it though ...gonna have to get me summa dat.

Thanks Jack!

I have to admit....that stuff is HELLA cool.

Now I'm just waiting for someone to release some CAT 5 w/ electro-luminescent sheathing (maybe powered by the unused pairs?) that would light up.
Maybe pulse in time to traffic?

THAT would be sweet. Can you imagine how awesome that would look at a huge LAN?
Or better yet, at a display like the one you set up at Interop, Scott?

Oh Yeah ! Bond those puppies into a ribbon and go crazy...

The next trick would be to get the applications to pulse to the right beat....

Didja ever hear about the trick of hooking up an audio transformer (High Z on one side, 8 ohm on the other) to a spare speaker terminal, then hook the high Z side to a (preferably well-used) flourescent tube? Depending on the frequency and volume of the music, it sends all kinds of light balls, corkscrews, and light stabs down the tube. Throw some colored (coloured) gells around the tube....Instant light show (well, sorta .....kinda cool).

Off to work ....
