Looks like mostly junk for all the new stuff. Luckly all the good stuff from last year returns this year.

The Apprentice Martha Stweard: Do we really need Martha in prime time? Do we really need more apprentice? NOOOO. I saw bits here and there, same old crap. I'm sorry Marth but the only thing you fit into is the dent i'm going to make with my fist in your skull.

How I Met Your Mother: Holy crap NPH is back. WTF. He plays a pathetic sap with the ego the size of Doogie Howsers brain. The willow chick from Buffy plays the same old character (at least she was slightly different in Veronica Mars), and that gets old fast. I managed to laugh once to the stupid part where her Fiance was sitting next to her and she yelped becuase she was blind in one eye and didn't see him until he said something. Considering i haven't laughed at a sitcom in a long while (i laugh at dramas more than anything else, damn this thing called maturity), it might hold some promise later. Also Bob Saget narates the show...WTF

Out of Practice: Holy crap the FONZE is back. Amazingly he's the only one funny in the entire show, and a snorefest of a show it is. We really don't need another show about doctors, and a family of them at that. I wonder what will replace this show midseason.

Surface: This show has a nice X-Files feel to it. It didn't feel that tedious too, as with most of the shows of this genre (erm, Invasion). Lake Bell does a decent job moving from Boston Legal (my fave show), to this one. She was pretty horrid in BL, this role seems to fit her a bit better. Episode 2 looks like it might explode.

Invasion: The show came out of nowhere and thats where its heading if the pilot is any indication. Mediocre acting, actors, plot, script, ect. Looks like a sad Disney movie.

Bones: Angel is back as your average FBI smuck. The general plot doesn't have much promise, its another CSI. However the character interactions could turn out to be pretty funny. The chick isn't super hot, but just cute enough to watch if the show gets good. If they spend more time on developing characters than the same old cases from the 60 other CSI clones, they may have some special here.

My Name is Earl: This show looked funny, has some decent writing and plot, i don't think i really laughed at all in the pilot. However it shows some promise and originality. The lead is very strong as a redneck loser, but still lovable. Writing is very good, i generally have a smirk and go ahh that was witty. The ads for it are funny enough, hopefully it get better down the road.

Reunion: i got bored after the theme song. Anyone watch this?

Ghost Whisperer: mmmmm JLH is back...but can she really hold another show about supernatural? I mean not even Dushku did that (well that was fox, and i'm not a Dushku fan). Maybe she should do what the gorillamask petition says, shut up and show us your T**S!

Head Cases: Robin and Adam Goldberg...great...I usually love trial shows, but ouch this one stank worst than old eggs. Its more boring than The Practice (i love TP, but most people know its hella boring). Holy head cases batman get me off the air!

Just Legal: I hate Don Johnson but nothing else was on so i gave this show a shot. The show had no buzz so i didn't know what to expect. It was not bad. It had some spark i can't put my finger on, maybe i liked the case.

Supernatural: I usually like supernatural shows, but that guy Jason from smallville is in it. I really really hate him. The show looks boring too. Somone care to tell me i'm wrong?

So far this seasons new stuff looks pretty crappy, no new hot chicks to carry any show, haven't they learned anything by now? Look at smallville, its probably one of the worst shows out there, but if you get hot, iconic actors, it can go far.

I did short write-ups of the few sci-fi ones... and I completely agree about Invasion. They are actually marketing it as a "family drama".

You forgot Threshold with Carla Gugino... it looks good enough for me.

Supernatural - "Jason from Smallville"... that's Jensen Ackles (confirmed on IMDB). I love his acting (his sarcastic attitude moreso)... don't watch Smallville though. Why do you hate him ?

SciFi shows have gotten so horrid. The last good one was Earth Final Conflict, but that went into so many change like most other scifi shows in generall. They are usually all so cheesy and low budget. I haven't seen Battlestar yet, but i just got the first season and plan to binge it in a week.

First episode of Reunion was pretty good, acting was terrible though. I'll give it a few more episodes to see if it improves. But by then, because of the nature of the show I'll probably be hooked in and won't be able to stop watching regardless of how bad the acting. :)

Oh man--you're gonna love it. IMO, Battlestar Galactica more than makes up for all the other crap on Sci-Fi. It's a 'frackin' awesome show.

Saw the first episode of Bones. thought it was good, but the second one kinda sucked so i stoped watching after 15 minutes.

My name is Earl was really funny. If you didn't laugh at some of the stuff, well then you got no sense of humor (and no it's not because you think you're mature)

saw supernatural cause there was nothing else on. didn't like it too much. the kid from gilmore girls is pretty good though

Make sure you watch the mini-series first.

I LOVED My Name is Earl. The first part was a little slow, but I wrote that off as, "Well, they were giving background information. It didn't have to be that good." I LOVED the second half.

"I even pulled out m' good boob t'wards the end."
"You're a Carson Daly fan too?"

I liked My Name is Earl, and I really enjoy the two new shows on FX Starved and It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia
