New TV Show: American Inventor

I saw an advert for the show last night and thought it was damn cool. About time they come out with a reality show that isn't wall to wall super models.
 
there was an article in WIRED magazine about this, some inventions are sweet. by the way whoever said that new inventions can only be made by big corporations, and with years of research is wrong. there is still plenty of stuff to be invented by your everyday dreamer.

I have confidence in mass-market TV making it royally retarded. If it was on G4, or maybe TDC, I'd probably have a more positive outlook.

Sadly, those Star Trek reruns are a huge improvement over the crap that G4 had on before. I miss TechTV 🙁
 
I saw a commercial for it yesterday, it was hilarious. The guy on the commercial was so proud he invented "arm shades" until one of judges pointed out he just invented sleeves. Oh man, he face was priceless.

Amen. Leo and Kate were worth watching as much as any TV pair these days, and given their different backgrounds they meshed well with the audience. Adam Sessler ... that guy needs more medication. He's the kid we all knew from school that got beat up and stuffed in a locker, or hung by his underwear on a coatrack on a weekly basis.
 
WoW that kid at the end was pissed. I also love this quote: "I dunno how you make it, I'm just an inventor."
 
It wasn't awful, although the Wallace Shawn lookalike who is trying way too hard to be the Simon Cowell redux is pretty irritating.

Simon Cowell was on Kevin & Bean (morning radio show in L.A) talking about this show. Supposedly, some of the inventions in later episodes actually turn out to be truly revolutionary for certain industries.
