If a manufacturer wants to be a dick they can deny a claim for whatever reason they want. If you have to go as far as court to fight it, does that change anything you said about the MMA? Its nice to have at least something to toss over the wall at those dealerships who don't want to fight it.
Basically, I could leave it stock and still be in for lots of $$$ in legal fees at any time for a warranty repair.
IMHO you have a hard enough time with warranty issues on a completely stock vehicle....
just throw out a mag moss comment to a dealer and watch them laugh. it is meaningless unless you have unlimited funds and time to fight the dealer.... in the end, you likely could have repaired the vehicle a few times over with what you had invested into fighting them.
The idea behind it is nice, but in reality the dealer just says modifications put it out of manufacturer spec and thus cannot warranty the vehicle... at that point it is on you to prove otherwise. in regards to a tune, that would be VERY difficult for one to do
