Is the information for the dual cores correct?

I would love for an article comparing power efficient models from both Intel & AMD with an emphasis on the power consumption level.

I really never understood why Anand didn't make a special article like the one i suggest before.

Does Anandtech have a marketing manager? (I don't know how these sites work)

Even Intel just now (I mean 2009) is starting to realize how many consumers are interested in energy efficient products (and see how much Intel is charging for the S models)

Also look the current trend regarding energy efficient products in the CE department (and how much they charge for those lovely energy efficient Tvs)

Would you like such an article?

Many of those processors have been discussed in the past, just nice to see some more formal news that they will be released.

It is interesting however that MSI is claiming the 965 to have a 140W TDP and the Athlon II 630/620 to have a 95W, this goes against recent news where the 965 would fall into the 125W TDP and Athlon II 65W.

AT has done articles focused on power consumption when it comes to server products.
They have also done system power consumption.

http://it.anandtech.com/IT/showdoc.aspx?i=3606
http://www.anandtech.com/casec...us/showdoc.aspx?i=3413

Or the Q9550S review:
http://www.anandtech.com/cpuch...ts/showdoc.aspx?i=3505

Plus they give power consumption numbers in articles.

They probably haven't done a focused article for desktop CPU solutions because there hasn't really been the same sort of product lineup as you get in the server world. Only recently have special lower power CPU models started coming out.
It would be interesting to see one focused on desktop CPU's, but you can also extrapolate numbers from the server articles or just look at CPU reviews.
There aren't really enough low power specific desktop models to make it particularly worthwhile, and most TDP differences are still due to processor speed and not power binning in the desktop arena.

My point was about the new trend, that people love energy efficient products, and how interested they are for specific reviews that target this new group.

So i am not talking about classic reviews with 10 lines of text comparing 1 or 2 energy efficient products in a page somewhere in a general 20-page review.

My point was also about the marketing side of the tech sites and how they present their reviews.

Just my opinion!

Probably all the models with 95W is instead 65W, just a typo i guess.

Unless AMD's advertised TDP is not exactly the highest possible TDP!

About the 965 I don't know.

Yes I am aware that AT has done some efforts in the past and I liked all the articles, I just feel that they were not specific enough for the group i suggested that it would be interested.

For example:

a title like "Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550S:A New 65W Quad-Core"

is not exactly marketing genious

or an article like "Testing the latest x86 rack servers and low power server CPUs"

is not exactly enticing for the readers i had in mind.

I just think that you're missing an opportunity!

I may be wrong.
