Man I love dual sports. I keep my Dr350 around to use twice a year usually. AND ITS WORTH IT!!!

I loved trail riding in northern california during the 90s. The few times we went to Baja it didnt end well for at least someones ride or their body so we outgrew riding 12 miles with a dislocated shoulder or trying to bitch ride with someone else cuz your ride quit on you..

I am afraid to ride anything modern because I would end up wanting one.

Congrats on the new ride. Make sure to take a camera and take some nature shots or action shots for us to drool over before its gets too cold!

What is it?

Is it a Yamaha YZF 450(super moto)?

It's a 2009 Yamaha WR250R. The guy I bought it from changed parts out with a freind that had a 250X and wanted an R. So satyajitmenon is right this is now a WR250X.
manimal your right winter will be on us way to soon.... were did summer go?

Last night I actually turned the heat on really low in the convertible on the way home at midnight!

gasp

I just hope fall is long and pretty. The wife and I do a few weekends every fall to see colors and stay at a B&B...

She gets quaint town antique hunting and I get spririted driving for a few hours on back roads!!

It got down to 52 last night, SE WI. I hope it warms up soon I have a ton of green tomatos just waiting to ripen. I cant wait for the fall colors to start though. I bow hunt and love spending a ton of time in the woods in the fall.

We may be taking a trip up to wisconsin next month. I am going to surprise her with a road trip to Devils Lake State Park or something similar.Any ideas?

That is flat out kick ass! Shit I'd be jumping railroad crossings, speed bumps, doing wheelies galore, revving the piss out of it. Bet that fmf pipe sounds sweet. My next bike is going to be a dual sport for sure. Id get another set of wheels for it with some dirt capable tires. That way you'll have them ready for a nice ride in the dirt.

I have found the rev limiter and I'm working on the wheelies off road and in parking lots. The FMF sounds great but with that and the header/programer/gears takes a ton off the MPG. I went from 71mpg stock to about 46mpg but dam it moves..... Still better than the F-150 at 14.5mpg:eek:

If your worried there are options with bigger fuel tanks. I would take the power anyday as well!!!

Three of the best places at that time of year that I would pick would be Wisconsin Dells, Devils lake and Door county. If it's just you and your wife try to find a bed and breakfast they have some real nice ones in all three areas.
