Sound system is next on the list. Onkyo receiver, TXSR600, and cheap Onkyo speakers. They get the job done for now until I raise some more toy money.

Should have gone front projection. 😉

Well, it's not for everybody 😛

It's kind of hard to look at standard tvs and their prices after you get used to FP prices though 😉

jtusa, have you tried the center channel above the tv? I don't know if that's a possibility with your tv at all, but it seems that above rather than below tends to be a little better. I can't tell if you have the center tilted up at all, but if you haven't, try to aim it up a little angled towards ear level at the listening position if possible.

I can't put the center on top of the TV because there's no where to set it. The top of the TV is too narrow. I have room the angle the center up in the stand, just haven't done it yet. Have to find something that will prop it up without slipping(ideas?).

When I had my center angled up before, I used some of the rubber speaker feet that were little rubber hemispheres with an adhesive on the flat side.

I guess it depends on what you have around the house...

I should probably raise my own center about a foot actually 😛
Too bad whatever I find is going to have to be pretty sturdy to not get crushed.
