I should be getting my copy of XP pro today. At least that's what the UPS tracking # shows.
Anyway, I want to see if there are any known issues with any of my components before I install.

AMD xp1600
epox 8kha+
Maxtor 80GB hd w/ata 133 controller card.
Audigy mp3
512 crucial ddr 2100
leadtek gf3 ti200

Are the audigy drivers that came with my card OK for XP? I'm at work now so I can't check the cd's.

LAstly, are there any good sites for tweaking xp, etc.?
Thanks.

Unless Creative changed the CD that they send out with the Audigy Card you are going to have to use the Win2k driver when installing and go to the Creative site and download the XP driver update

If I remember correctly if the card is already installed before he installs XP it should detect it and work fine, so there would be no need to use the 2k drivers that came with it. However I would always recomend downloading and installing the latest XP drivers.

yes make sure that you install all the latest compadibilty updates and security patches . Also install the newest VIA drivers and Nvidia display drivers, download these of there sites! I do not recommend using any beta Nvidia drivers just use the newest on there site! And also make sure you disable remote assistance untill your all secure and switch the control panel to classic veiw its easier on the eyes. I am sure you will enjoy this operating system it is very stable!

why would you have to use the win 2k drivers why not just go there after your most important stuff is loaded and download the newest with out having to worry about driver clutter! or just download now before you install and leave them on your backup partition then just point to the location???
