Hello.I was a member of Donanimhaber-a Turkish hardware forum site.I helped more than 3000 people there. But as a college freshman I moved to USA,FL.
Getting something cheaper is a joy to me,so yeah Im searching for 2nd hand electronics(Hardware actually).

Can someone give me tips?Where should I search them:colbert:

I guess eBay is a pretty great solution

eBay would be best. I would search for second hand stores around town. Goodwill will on occasion have electronics or Arc thrift store.

sometimes your local landfill will have an area for people to drop off electronics or they might have special 'recycle' days

also post on craigslist that you're looking for free electronics

What exactly are you looking for? You could ask one of the IT workers at your college.

Every type of hardware:big grin:
Generally high end parts.I own a system at my country with 360+240 rad custom water cooling,3930K clocked at 4.7,HD 7970 GE CF clocked at 1230 Mhz.But I sold it because They were too heavy and electronics in my country are much expensive than US. So actually I can go and buy hardware directly from TigerDirect/Newegg/FrozenCPU but getting things cheaper is much enjoyable:awe:

PLEASE read the fs/ft rules and follow them closely. Our fs/ft forum is one of the best out there.

Ignore the quality post stuff...the lawyers make him say that :awe:

I know people are predominantly anti-craigslist here but I had nothing bet good luck... just bought a pair of bookshelf speaker with amp for $50 after my computer speakers blew up, works great.
You have to use common sense and know your city, which parts to avoid and all that...

Always cash, always f2f. I have bought and sold more shit on CL than I ever did on ebay. I had one bad experience but that was a fluke. I'm probably 999 out of 1000.

Hell...I just sold an AC unit and its 30 degrees outside!

Craig's List has it's uses, but for really moving shit at an at-market price, it's all about ebay.

The worst part about Craig's List is that many users have a completely unrealistic, deal-killing, expectation of what they have is worth. They are then incapable of interaction and reasoning abilities. I've had run-ins with the thieves as well, but I'm not a push-over or stupid.

After I sell my current inventory I want to check out estate sales or maybe even storage unit auction. Sounds like fun. :D

I posted it at the end of summer and completely forgot about it.

As soon as the cold hit, my email blew up. I don't get it.

How is it possible to "forget" a craigslist post? You have to actively refresh every 7 days, and there is no public permanent archive.

So something about your story is fishy to me.

I'm concerned that CL has ghosted me, I posted two things, and haven't gotten any responses. Not even the usual batch of unrelated CL spammer e-mails.

Yet, my friend, who is on another ISP, was able to find my post.

Btw, how are people getting their same ad at the top of the list every day? I follow the rules, and wait for my post to disappear after 7 days, before I re-post it. CL has ominous warnings about multiple copies of ads, multiple locations, and deleting your post just to put it back at the top of the list.
