Hey everyone. I have tried to research a few things here in the past few days, and just keep confusing myself. So.......if you guys could spare a few minutes to create a system (part #'s and everything) consisting of a case, cpu and mobo, memory, video card, audio card, DVD/CDRW combo....... Pretty much everything except for a monitor, keyboard & mouse, and speakers.

I cannot keep up with all of the pro's and con's of every part you guys talk about. I am really amazed how you guys can keep up with everything. My head hurts from all of the numbers. So I am asking your advice.

I would like to spend around $750.00 - $1,000.00 for the above mentioned products. I don't play any demanding games like doom 3 or anything like that. Just need a little something to play around with, I am hoping to access the internet through a cable or DSL modem (we have both) in another room of the house. So i guess it could be "wireless". If you could let me know how to set the computer up for that, I would greatly appreciate it.

Sorry for the length.

Did you read thread #2 of this forum? It lists recommended parts in that range

For the Wifi, you need a "router" (the cable/DSL plugs into it) and either a PCI card or USB wifi adapter for the computer. Wifi cards and routers are as cheap as $15 if you look in the Hot Deals forum.
