Been reading the forum for awhile. Need guidance. Y'all convinced me to build my own new rig. The neighbor kid built my last 2 but he is currently in Afghanistan with the Marines. Help a middle aged guy with 3 kids out willya? Here is what is on the way FedEx.

VisionTek Gforce3 ti-200 (from old rig-kids get back the VooDoo3)

Blue Orb (retail) for chipset

Asus S520 cd-r (oem)
Gonna try a RAID 0 setup. I keep no mission critical data. Games, surfing and games. Did I mention games. Old farts play to. I had a PONG game as a puppy. ouch.
1. Do I connect both hd's to IDE1 with one as master and one as slave?
2. IDE2 with cd-r as master and zip as slave?
CDR-W will be IDE3 when I pick one up.
3. Does ATA/133 have its own cable or are 66/100 the same?
4. Does the OS load split/striped between drives or do you put that on one. I don't partition. Windows98Se is the OS.
Thanks in advance. Any tips would be appreciated. I look forward to trying my hand at overclocking but I gotta' get it to go first. the hardware end is OK. I have a good rapport with machines. It's the OS/software crap that boggles me sometimes.
Just slap me if I annoy. I'm used to it.
