Hi,
I'm new to selling on ebay and i've just had my second sale. It's been a day since the item sold and the buyer has not paid me yet. How long do I wait before I leave him bad feedback and do a second chance offer to someone else?

I believe this is the wrong forum for such a post, but to answer your question, you would want to issue a "non-paying bidder warning" (i may be slightly off on the term) before issuing negative feedback. This allows you to eventually relist the item without paying listing fee's and final value fee's twice. If I remember correctly you can do this after 7 days. This will also give the buyer a warning, of which only 3 are allowed before account suspension. This will give them even more incentive than negative feedback to follow through with the transaction. Hope this helps!

One more thing I wanted to add- In the future it is good to set a requirement in the listing description. If you clearly state you require payment within 24 or 48 hours, then you can legitimately leave negative feedback after that time.

I think you have to wait 4 days before you can file a non-paying bidder claim, which may in turn get the buyers attention.

You should give the buyer 5-6 days tops, you may want to go into myebay and send them another invoice for the item to try to prompt them to pay up, or send them a message.

I've had mostly good experiences on ebay but have had a couple knuckleheads doing buy it now and then acting like they were just looking and didn't realize that buy it now meant they were buying the item ! ( 3 listings this guy did this to me !!! )

Well this guy has over 300 transactions and has 100% record, so I think he should pay... just worried cuz I'm not used to it.
