So, I've not done any overclocking in years, and I've fallen out of touch with the latest technologies.

I recently build a 2500k-based system and wanted to give OC another try. It took me a while reading articles and playing about with settings but I finally got an OC out of my rig

Temps look ok under Prime95!

Anyway, back to the point at hand, I would like to get some answers as to how to OC further than this. I have tried 45x to 48x (following guides) without any success :'(
With my 40x OC I basically put the multiplier on 40 and disabled all the power saving technologies in BIOS. I have no idea about changing vcore values and RAM multipliers etc.

All help/pointing towards other threads would be much appreciated!

My rig is:
i5 2500k
Gigabyte z68-ud3p-b3 F6 BIOS
8GB ddr3 1333MHz
hyper 212+
antec HCG 620w
fractal design xl
(plus the rest)

Cheers
