How do I get stats/vital info? Anything I should/shouldn't be doing? I noticed my cpu jumped 8 degrees.

As a good Borg, you can find lots of info amongst the pages and links in the Collective pages. You don't have individual stats. You have kickass Borg stats! 😉

You should disable any 3D screen saver. That uses a lot of cpu power which is best used for crunching.

Welcome, harpomx, and all the other new TA members! 😀 Are you cracking with your own e-mail address, or the Borg address? You don't have to be a Borg, you know.

If you are cracking on your own, you will be able to get your stats at Distributed.net's RC5 stats site, once they get some problems worked out. When they do, be sure to join the TeAm. Until then, and whenever you don't want to wait for the daily stats run, I recommend using Mika's pproxy for stats updates every 15 minutes. 🙂
