new to raid guys: What can be achived with a 2 x 60GX IBM`s new and 1 x IBM new and a Promise fastrack tx2 please

sowhat can be acieved with a fasttrack tx2 and 2 60gb dtripe 0, my ohter drive 75gb anything i can do with that, put itin an array and just use it for capacity is this poss ? please explain how i can use my other drive and do this ;-) do this

Try to phrase it a little better next time...

If you have 2 IBM 60gb and 1 75gb and a promise fasttrak TX2 the best you can do is to set up a RAID 0 array. Unfortunately you will only get 180gb of storage because the RAID array can only use the size of the smallest drive multiplied by the number of drives in the array. I have 2 IBM 40gb 60gxp drives and a Promise TX2 in RAID 0. I will be adding one more IBM 60gxp 40gb drive next week. If you are curious about the benefits of RAID I encourage you to read Anands review on the subject.

Keep that 75GB off your stripe and use it for storage and backup.

Get another 75GB, and stripe them both, and put the 60 on a IDE channel or something.
