I'm sure this forum gets this thread all the time, but I'm new to pc gaming and I'm looking to purchase a gaming pc but the thing is I havent a clue about it 😀

I'm not looking to spend too much money, maybe about 450-550 euro and preferably from custompc.ie

Any tips lads?

I can offer this advice:

#1) Decide if playing the latest and newest games is important to you. If it isn't and you're willing to always be a few years behind, you can save some money.

#2) If you post this question in the General Hardware section, you will get more attention and some pretty decent responses if you follow their sticky (third stickied thread from the top).

Okay thanks, I head on over there! The games Im most interested in playing are csgo h1z1 and minecraft... Any hard working games I would probably be playing on ps4 or Xbox! Thanks for the response

You could build a decent pc with that if you don't need a monitor or peripherals. You'd have to get a fairly cheap videocard though which would probably let you down in games like gta5/dying light etc.

Going used would be a good option but you need to check values on things cus I find most people selling used PC hardware try to sell way above value. You can find deals though like on an older but still good videocard (gtx 680 for example which you can probably find for under 200 euro).

Grayy, it might be a good idea to be a little patient and save up another 400-500 Eu and get a system that'll last you a long time. When buying inferior/cheaper parts, you're very like to run into various issues which can take away the fun on your gaming experience.

For me, stability is very important as I expect this from a decent PC. It took me about 18 months to save up for my current system (now 2 years old), but runs just as smooth as when I first built it.

Games like cs:go run on about anything,i got a slow x4 9150e which was slow back in 2008 that can play that game matched with a 9500gt and i could do around 45fps-70+ at 720p medium at times....

You could pretty much get yourself like a used Q6600 rig with 4gb of ram and stuff in a used gtx460 and be set for that game seriously lol.

The game runs on a toaster.
