Hi, Im a new member here, and i am VERY new to overclocking, i build my own pc's so i know a little, but i know nothing about ram timings and stuff like that in the overclocking aspect, i was wondering if i could get and help.. Im looking to get to about 2.2 or so with stock cooling.. i hear venice's are very good for that.

Here are my pc specs:

AMD 64 3000+ (Venice)
MSI K8N NEO4-F
Corsair Value Select Ram (2x512)

not too sure what other info you'd need...

Thx for quick response

I would say to take some time to read the forums. There is a ton of information about overclocking and even a few guides that members have put together to help explain what does what to what. :)

First stop should be the sticky posts at the top of the overclocking forum. Then search and read up on other overclocking threads.
You can't have too much information before you start. The more you know, the better.

GL with your OC and let us know how it goes.

Hi mcphailmonator and Welcome to the Forums!

Check this AT THREAD for the basics of OCing a a64 system.

Read this THREAD and you'll see ram timings aren't really important as regards performance with your PC's platform (a64).
