New to linux, but I want to setup MP3 streaming server and need HELP!

Hey guys, I am a total newbie to linux, but I just installed redhat 9 into one of our old destop here in my office.
I was reading some stuff about MP3 Streaming server, and now I want to have one of my own here in the office.
I installed redhat linux using custom and install "EVERYTHING" on a celereon 600 desktop with 128 ram 20gb drive.
Can you guys help me setting up MP3 streaming server on my linux box ?
What would be the easiest free web based MP3 streaming server software should I get?

http://netjuke.sourceforge.net looks pretty good.

You might also take a peek at http://ask.slashdot.org and scroll down a bit. I asked about non-streaming mp3 servers but many people suggested streaming servers anyway

I'm wondering what advantages people see using a web based frontend to their music collection on a LAN server as opposed to just dragging and dropping music files onto a playlist with Winamp or XMMS and clicking play... this is not a flame in any way, I'm just trying to see if this is something myself or others might want to do with music collections.

Honestly, curiosity is what got me into doing this. I also think that is it nice to have a web based application that will list all your mp3, create playlist, etc. That is pretty much all.

For me I just want to play the files on the server. As far as having a streaming server though you can have multiple clients easily creating and saving playlists that they can access from any workstation on the lan, etc. Some also have a really nice search interface to find songs to help create the playlist. Its making a complete system.

If you run in to particular problems ask questions but you have to give it a shot. Google is always a massive help.

That's been a little project of mine lately, an mp3 jukebox. Working ok so far, sorts by artist, I can play just a single artist, play specific songs from an artist, or play all on shuffle. Works pretty good for me, maybe you should just write one, seems to me that nothing ever totally satisfies me, I get the feeling I'll be writing a web browser some day just to satisfy the itch :Q

edit: did anyone mention this?
