You are going to need to convert the file to something that the iPhone can play. .MP4 should work.

There are lamer things. I heard that you can't mount the new zunes as drives either, my friend can't use his Creative media player in OS X... at all. It won't even show up in Disk Utility.

I don't understand why you would want to use the iPhone as USB storage...it's not like it has a USB connector or takes a standard USB cable, you'd have to carry around a USB iPod cable with you. Why not just buy a USB memory stick and keep it on your keychain? 8 gigs is like $50 on Newegg :p

yeh but iphone is made by apple, if nothing you should be able to mount it as a drive in os x only (i understand if they dont support that on windows), also zune has wireless sync which iphone doesnt

iphone is a good product but gen 1 is lacking quite a few things which i hope the next release addresses

well, i know, if you unlock it, its a totally different game, i just wish it could do more things out of the box (most people aren't gonna unlock it anyway)

Not unlock it, hack it. Unlocking means unlocking it to use with a different carrier, hacking it means jailbreaking it so that you can load up apps. Just use iFuntastic and AppTapp, couldn't be simpler!

I wish I could use it as a usb drive. Sometimes I rather take home a few files then do it at work, since I have a charger hooked up to my PC at work connecting it isn't a problem. Reason I don't bother with a usb drive is I like to carry the least amount as possible on me, so my iphone, keys to car and house, and wallet are all I ever have on me and I prefer it like that.
