New to HOA

I haven't gotten anything in the mail telling me that I owe them money.

Does your HOA send out a bill or is it just expected of you to send them a check every month?

Been in the house for a month and I owe them the September HOA. & not surprisingly they don't pick up their phone when I call them.

Probably looking at a late fee here aren't I

Usually they send you a bill every month...mine does.

And yeah, you don't want to be late on that bill. They can be draconian with their late fees and penalties.

Depends on the HOA. One billed every 3 months(the fee was only $30/month) and my current one we're expected to mail them a check at the beginning of month and we're assessed a late fee if they don't get it by the 10th of the month.

Depends if it monthly or quarterly. Ask your neighbor?

Didn't you get any HOA papers at closing? Every place I lived with one there was a big package from the HOA telling you when it was your turn to breath.
