New to computer building

Hi guys, was wondering if you guys can guide me in the right direction with my first build. So im looking to use this pc to play games, use photoshop and alot of other programs. I been doing a little research and heres what ive mustard up so far that seems to fit my needs n sum. Im still behind on some of the terms and lingos with the parts. Im looking to build this within a $1000-1400 budget.

{CPU} Intel Core i7-2600K 3.4GHz

{Motherboard} No clue on whats a good board lol

{GPU} GTX 560 ti (I dont know much about graphic cards but after a lil research Im getting that this card is pretty good for the money. Or is there any other card out there thats better then the 560ti in the 200$ range?)

{HDD} 500GB-1TB (depending on whats on sale at the time)

{SSD} 60GB-120GB (I will use this to boot the OS on and maybe a few programs.)

{Memory} 8GB-16GB

{PSU} No clue on whats a good one but I want something that will last and is power efficient. I heard gold was best?

{Tower} No clue on whats a good tower. I can careless about aesthetics just as long as I can put all this stuff in it.

and 1080p monitor.

This is my setup from what I KNOW and I want it to last me for quite some years. Thanks for looking

Check this thread over in hardware, it's a basic $1K gamer build, you can swap in your components (i7 2600 for example) for a little more money and be golden.
