I need help from any of the experts here in the OC forum. I have read a couple of the posts in here about the Celeron 633 overclocking. I decided to upgrade my old Celeron 300A which was running at 464 with this new chip.
I have a Abit BH6 MB which I upgraded to the SS version. Then I bought a MSI6905 slotket. I didn't know which jumpers to leave on and which ones to take off. So I decided to pull off the ones that controlled my voltages on the slotket.
Question 1)I was wondering if anyone here is using the same setup as me and what jumpers they pulled off of their slotket? I think I read somewhere in these forums that even if I use the Slotket to determine the voltage that the Abit MB would always control the voltage in the CPU soft menu. Is this true?
So I got my Celeron 633 cC0 to boot into Win ME at 950. I had to change some of the settings in the CPU SoftMenu to adjust the voltage up to 1.85. Also I changed the multiplier to 9.5! I think I left the Signal to Low. Is there anything else I should have done correctly in the CPU soft menu.
So I think I have my Celeron running stable and try running some of the benchmark and stability test. I can run Prime 95 and run the Unreal Tournament intro on my system. Then only problem is the UT intro where i get an error about 'pump error'after about 1 hour. I am afraid that my system isn't truly stable.
I have read that RC5 is a good program to use to test your stability. Can you guys recommend all the torture tests for testing out the system. I tried 3dmark, prime95. So I wanted to up teh voltage on my Celeron in hopes of maing it more stable. But I can only got up to 1.9v on my MB. Will the Slotket let me have a higher voltage than what my Abit BH6 MB will allow?
Basically I want to figure out how to mae my system more stable if possible.
Thanks,
YAZ
