Before you go and do that, make sure your ok with being tech support for the life of the computer you build for him.

I built a computer for a friend a few years ago, and he would constantly get viruses and mess things up, but it was pretty much assumed it was my problem to fix, since i built it.

The most I'll do now for people is assist them in building their own. If they are committed enough to learn how to build and troubleshoot a pc, then even when they do need my help in the future, i don't mind because i know they at least tried.

If they don't want to learn at all, I'd rather them just buy one already made. It's even better for warranty and repair most of the time.

Yeah i know, he's not a total computer novice though, he's just a bit rusty when it comes to building comps.
Also i confirmed that the ripjaws won't work, anyone have any suggestions for new RAM?

The ones in my sig are low profile, i think they're cheaper than the ripjaws too. Ares i think? I can't see my sig right now.

I changed it to G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz CL9 Dual Channel Kit (F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR)
I confirmed that they are compatible.
