I have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee with 162k miles on it. I bought tires at about 90k miles and it's about time for new!

Since I will only be driving this Jeep for no more than another year, I don't want to spend a fortune.

I am looking at a couple of tires and wanted to see what you guys recommended. I can put the following sizes on my Jeep:

215/75/15
225/75/15

On the 225/75/15 side, I have narrowed down to the following:

Goodyear Tracker 2 - $90

Kumho Solus KR21 - $52 (bigger tire than the 215/75/15 link below...is the same tire....and $20 cheaper??!?!)

Kumho Solus KR21 - $62 - not sure what is different about this one than the one in the above link

I'd like to stay in the $85 or below range. Like I said, I will only have this for about another year if not shorter. I only drive highway to and from work at 60 miles round trip.

On the 215/75/15 side, I have narrowed down to the following:

Goodyear Viva 2 - $55

Goodyear Integrity - $90

Kumho Solus KR21 - $74

Hankook Radial H714 - $54

I drive a 2000 Cherokee and roll on Firestone Destination LE's. I think I paid around $90 per tire.

But if you're only driving it another year just get the cheapest ones and be done with it.

I'd find some slightly used Wrangler/Cherokee wheels already mounted. You'll pay about $100-$150 for stock ones. Quick and easy, then sell yours for $75.

Will going from a 215/75/15 to a 225/75/15 decrease my fuel economy? If so, how much? I am just looking for a smoother ride and possibly better fuel mileage from my current Wal-Mart Liberator AT tires with about 75k miles on them already (at least).
