I live in Seattle and drive up to the mountains a lot in my car (1997 Subaru Outback Wagon). Am finally looking for new tires, as our old tires lasted the first 80,000 miles on this car quite nicely (believe it or not). Anyway, the current tires are pretty much dead, so we're looking for some new tires before driving out to the ocean this weekend. The tires need to be good for traction, as snow/ice/rain are going to be common driving situations.
Was thinking about these: http://www.discounttire.com/dtc/findTireDetail.do?step=details&index=13&productCodeIndex=41258&path=tire -- Pirelli P3000's.
Anyone have opinions or suggestions? Was considering Discount Tire & Auto, then Sears, then possibly Costco for getting the tires. Have seen the best prices so far at DT&A.
thanks,
Rob
