IT must have come with another download, but now when i right click in IE, in the list, under refresh, or delete, is HARDCORE MOVIES link, and i've uninstalled every weird program originating from this download but cant find how to get this off the list. Obviously, it has to go :|

HAHAHA

Open the Registry Editor (regedit) and search for "hardcore". You might find it that way.

Or it is probably located in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MenuExt as a subkey. You can also search for "menuext" again so that you can find the specific entry for your account (HKEY_USERS).

Download Spybot and run it. It should nuke it for you.

He tried Spybot, but it didn't work, and actually hung up. As for Lord Evermore's suggestion, he'll give it a try when he gets home. Thanks.

Yep, it's definitely time to search/edit the registry. I would also go through every folder of the start menu, because things like this love to hide themselves in other locations as well.

Secondly, heh...that is funny. I can relate to your plight. I downloaded an app one day that some knucklehead decided to rename and "alter" with similar results. Fortunately, it didn't go to the extreme that yours did, but I had a heck of a time finding all the links that were throwin into my favorites and just about every sub folder on my Start Menu, as well as the desktop shortcuts and such. It sucks dude, so I feel your pain.

Just as an aside in reference to the issue with Spybot S&D locking up, I had that happen on a couple of systems. Use the programs's update button. They released a patch that fixes the hangup problem.
