I can't help but think that with the 190CFM 4000RPM Delta, some good ducting, some cold winter air from me being back at the University of Rochester ducted into the case, and a peltier, you could score some seriously kick-butt temps without water-cooling. Of course it would also sound like a vacuum but sacrifices have to be made haha.
Perhaps it's time to invest in a dremel for cutting up some case sides to mount some crazy ducting.
And best of all the pelt should throw off enough heat to offset the chilly air from having ducted with the window open. Yay.
Maybe I should run another fan to force air into the duct? Or would the fact that I'm running a 190CFM delta suck sufficiently to just draw in the cold from the dict? hmm...
Seems like a good air flow pattern will be crucial to this insane plan.
Let's see...cold air goes in duct on side of case above CPU, warm air is drawn out both the front and the rear of the PC via several high-speed fans.
I wonder if even my TruePower 550 could handle all this crap though...100W for the CPU, 220W for the Pelt, that's 320 already and that delta takes another 35W of power, and that's just one fan.
But it JUST might work...bwahahahah
