New television recommendation

Hi friends,

I am in the market for a new television for day to day viewing in my living room.

The distance from my couch to the television will be approx. 6-8 ft. It will be placed in my living room.

What size television should I get? 32", 39", 40"

I do not need anything fancy, just something that has good clarity, good volume and preferably HD. I am looking for a flat screen, not the tube television, not even sure if they sell them anymore!

If it has Wi-Fi that I can use to watch Netflix on the television that will be great, but not required

I may relocate internationally in a couple of years, so am not looking for a very high end model.

The television will be connected to the AT&T cable box (Uverse).

I can buy the television from Costco, Walmart, or any other big box retailer or online.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks,
desidude

Hi soundmanred,

thanks for your reply. I think the distance between the couch is between 6-8 ft not 8-10 ft.

To add to my earlier post, which brand typically tends to be a good value for money?

And which store/website tends to the offer good pricing?

Thanks,

Amazon, otherwise watch slickdeals.net for the tv you want for other websites.

If you want plasma, a Panasonic ST60 (even the ST50 is good) is very good for the price at any size.
