First there was the Samsung 840 EVO, then the 850 EVO, then the 950 EVO... and now, a Team Group L3 EVO. (Is Samsung going to send them a C&D?)

Anyways, the specs at Newegg conveniently leave off the most important spec - MLC or TLC. Anyone know?

It mentions a quad-core controller, is that the Phison S10, or something else?

Team Group..what kind of name is that? It's like calling your company Technology Tech... or Moon Moon Group...Team....

Might just be a re-branded reference OEM drive, ie. Phison S10 and Micron or Toshiba flash...Doubt Samsung had anything to do with it other than "inspiring" the name. They might get involved though, or at least their lawyers might.

It's a Mitsubishi all wheel drive ssd, hence the EVO reference. Team Group has no affiliation with Samsung.

Team Group is all about rallying around a vacuous brand name in hopes of inspiring the niche DIY computer/rallying consumer to make an off brand purchase.

3x difference.

Anyone know TLC vs MLC life span? And does it matter for average consumer?
