I'm getting a system built for me, and I would like some opinions about any potential conflicts with any components, or anything else for that matter...
AMD Thunderbird 1.3 ghz 266 mhz socket "a" oem
Thermaltake Volcano Heatsink and Fan
Abit KT7A Motherboard
Micron pc 133 256 mb RAM
Quantum Fireball 20.5 gb 7200rpm UDMA 100 Hard Drive
ATI Radeon 64 mb AGP VIVO retail videocard
case w/ 300 w p.s.
Soundblaster Live! X-Gamer 5.1 soundcard
Pioneer 16x slot load dvd oem
D-Link DFE-530TX network card
Win 98
I don't want/need a modem as I have a cable connection thus the network card. In addition, I am afraid of any GeForce video cards because I've heard about their 2D capabilities, and I do use my computer for some CAD work from time to time. As for the O.S., I haven't decided between win 98, which I currently have, or win98 se, which I would have to purchase. I also know about the problems with SB Live! cards and win ME.
Anything else I should be concerned about, considering this is costing me alot of my hard earned Canadian bucks??
