Hey guys,

Just built a new system, AMD 3500+, MSI K8N Neo2 Mobo, xfx 6600GT Card, SATA HD, and 1gig Crucial pc3200

Got everything hooked up, but when I fire up system nothing comes up on the monitor..

Any suggestions?

Trying for a first time boot...

Do you get any action at all when you turn it on? Do the fans spin? Any flashing lights? Come-on man if you want help you have to give us a few more details.

1) what brand and model of power supply do you have

2) look on the first pages of your MSI's owner's manual, and what BIOS revision did it ship with? You'll need the 1.3 revision for a 90nm CPU or she simply won't run.

Some quick fixes that should work (worked for me when I had the same issue):
1) reset the CMOS (your mobo guide should tell you where your CMOS jumper is)
2) take out the mobo battery for ~5 minutes.
3) Put everything back

After this, your computer should be up and running. GL.
