New system, what OS?

I know this is an often discussed topic, and I've read the threads, but felt the need to bring it up again. Im upgrading my system this week. I currently am running a dual boot with Win ME and Win2k. With all new hardware(CPU, m-board, Vid Card) it's obviously best to go with a clean boot. The only prob I've had with 2k in the past was with my voodoo3 i had opengl probs. I am a gamer, counterstrike, q3, ut...etc. Im not sure what way to go. I want to just pick one OS and go with it, it wasn't useful enough to warrant another dual boot setup. In addition to win 2k, win ME, I also have win98se to choose from. Suggestions??

Old sys: K6III-450, voodoo3, asus p5a
New sys: Athlon850, CL Annihilator Pro(Geforce256 32mb ddr), msi k7tpro2a

I've done the dual boot thing in the past and it's a pain in the ass. Just think about how much time you'll waste configuring two OS's, then rebooting depending on what you want to do. You'll find that you just start using one OS for all your stuff and the other half of your hard drive becomes wasted. At least that was my experience.

Also, the nvidia Win2k drivers are pretty mature and should perform just as well as their 98se/Me counterparts for the games you play. 2k is a much more superior OS when you consider things beyond just playing games (which is basically all 9x is good for) such as networking / security / stability. But of course, you've heard this all before. If you're like most people, you'll be using your computer more for not playing games, and if this is the case you'll really come to appreciate Win2k. The decision is yours, young Jedi.

Win2000 is a great OS,however I still prefer Win98 for gaming, infact my own 98 is rock stable,no lockups,BSOD etc even when surfing the web, each person has is own favourite.I`m sure Win2000 will be the standard OS for gaming in the near future so go with Win2000.

For me its:

Games/other: Win2k

Games ONLY: Win9x (and I mean only. if you open the start menu and the only folder there says games, then that's the kinda games only i'm talking about)
