Since I upgraded my computer from 2500+ barton to a 3500+ A64, I have some weird issue.

My setup is :
Windows XP SP2
Windows Media Player 10
AMD64 3500+
1gig(2x512) samsung ram
AGP8x Leadtek 6800GT (71.84)
Latest Hyperion VIA installed.

I had the same video card, same windows, everything was the same exept cpu/mobo/memory and didn't have those issue. (note: Most of those issues happen in World of Warcraft, and they only happen to ME, I can't find anyone (even people with very similar system to mine (almost exactly the same actually))

1. FRAPS : Not sure if you guys know that program: http://www.fraps.com/. It's used to record video sample of basically anything you do on your computer, but usually used for video games. I use to loose about 20% (from 30-40fps to ±25fps) when starting FRAPS, but now I loose FPS down from 60-70fps to 1-2fps!

2. My "Zoning" time are AWFUL, takes ages.

3. This issue is the one that concerns me the most.. very weird. When I alt-tab the game, and open any video file (avi/mpg/wmv) in any player (zoomplayer/wmp/divxp) my screen COMPLETLY glitch, and computer is almost 100% frozen, it takes me about 1-2min to move my mouse on the "X" and hit left click.

Apart from that.. My PCMark / Sandra / 3dmarks scores are very normal.

I tried 76.x drivers yet, and it was the same. I think it really looks like a videocard drivers issue.. maybe I should try.. 6x.xx or somthing..

Does my problem sounds familiar to anyone?

I doubt it's you're cpu. You should use memtest to check your memory though.

Edit: Although samsung is very good memory...

Well after further investigation I have found answers to 2 of my problems.

1. Fraps had problem recording on the harddrive I had it assigned for some reason.. maybe I should install my promise driver (even if I don't use raid..) but there has to be a bandwith problem on this disk. So, if I just record videos file directly on C: it goes fine, problem is I don't have a lot of space to spare on this drive.

2. I still have this annoying lonnng load / zone time problem.

3. I've always used reforce to enable higher refresh rates in games. It never made my computer bug this way.. but at least I know this is the problem now and could fix it disabling the program.

Now if someone has any idea why my load time are this awful, I'd appriciate :|
