Hello. I recently built a system from a barebones bundle and its breaking my heart.

Bundle:
Foxconn 661mo3 motherboard
pentium 4 -3.0
512 Ram
Powersupply etc

I added:
DVD rom
DVD RW
80gb hard drive
200gb Hard drive
Geforce 6800 GT 256mb
XP Home

This all works fine except that it seems prone to random errors. High spec games such as Max payne 2, GTA 3 etc, work perfectly for 15-20 mins and then either stop responding, restart the computer, or show an error message citing a "glitch in the graphics engine". Less demanding games running in "software mode" quit to the desktop after 5 mins, with no error message, and even windows pinball (for gods sake) restarts the computer after a few mins.
Internet explorer also frequently "encounters a problem" and closes, seemingly at random. Word and other dull programs are unaffected.

I thought this might be a cooling issue, but ive got a case fan and it still does it even when i run it with the side off. Also, because a professional factory built the difficult bits, and claimed to have tested it before they sent it to me, i thought it was unlikely that i broke or missassembled any of the components. But not impossible.

Any thoughts would be very greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

i think that may be inadequate,i dont own a 6800gt but apparantly you need a beefy psu (at least 350w i guess)

Thanks. I'm a muppet. i should have checked the system requirements more carefully. At least its not gonna be too expensive to correct. Is there any point in me getting one with more than 350 watt? Since it doesn't seem to be a that much more expensive for a bigger one....

Make sure you have the latest BIOS and chipset drivers for your system.
