New system turned BOINC off...

Some time today while I was at work, the BOINC Manager on my new Ryzen 9 3900X set ALL projects to "Won't get new tasks" for some reason. And apparently didn't have enough work cached as the Tasks list was completely empty when I got home.

I don't see any errors in the BOINC event log that would indicate why this happened. Any ideas what happened, and/or what to do so it doesn't happen again?

Edit: Strange, Boincstats BAM actually set all of the projects for this computer to no new work...
I'll reset them and see if it happens again.

If so, why only turn that one off? It is by far my fastest computer, but not the only one working on relevant projects..

I would check that PC's LAN IP, and your router's DMZ setting and UPnP tables, and whether or not it's enabled.

Is it possible, that BOINC mgr now sets tasks to "No New Tasks", after some period of network connectivity loss? That might be another explanation.

That seems like a valid possibility, but not for this computer, it has been checking in normally every 12 hours since I built it. Successful connections show up in the Event Log. Last one just about 8 hours ago, which is probably when the computer picked up the "No new work" instructions from the BAM server.

There does appear to be something really wrong. I just rebooted the computer for a Windows update and when I logged back in, every task in the BOINC queue had a status of Aborted, or Computation Error, and all of the projects are back to "Won't get new tasks"... 🙁

I'm going to try a complete uninstall, clean, and reinstall of BOINC...
