New System suggestions

Hey! I'm putting together a new system and wanted to get some input. I've got about 1200 bucks to spend. Here's what I'm thinkin':

- 900 MHz Athlon TB / Abit KT7 ($325)
- 256MB PC133 CAS2 SDRAM from crucial or mushkin ($180-270)
- 45GB IBM 75XP HD ($170)
- ATI RADEON AIW 32 DDR ($220)
- SB LIVE Platinum 5.1 ($135)
- 16X Pioneer DVD ($100)
- ANTEC SX830 CASE ($75)

I already have good speakers, and a nice mouse and keyboard.

ANY SUGGESTIONS? ALSO, ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN BEAT THESE PRICES?

You don't have a HS/Fan listed.. that's another 50. Get a pure copper one. they rox...

I take you have a monitor too? You didn't mention that.

I would go for the KT7-RAID, it's only about $20 bucks more and you get RAID (if you ever wanted to do it) and ATA/100 support. $20 bucks, big deal.

I'm going to purchase the components from various online stores that I've scoped out off of pricewatch.com. All prices include fair estimates of shipping costs and tax, if applicable. Although, I live right next to the LA fairplex in Pomona, CA; they have a massive computer fair/swap meet once a month; so I might just go over there and get some even better deals. You have to make sure you buy "retail box" only, because a lot of the vendors try to sell F'ed up goods. I got screwed on a CD-ROM about three or four years ago.

And ya! I just bought a 19" PF790 Viewsonic from Merc@ta.com (WTF! This is a forbidden word!?) for $329 shipped (plus $20 rebate). And the CPU/MB is a combo kit; all the stuff is retail and a CPU fan is included.
