New System Question

Hello all, I am in need of some asisstance. I just bought a new Athlon 64 but went budget with the case. I have a 20-pin PSU that came with the case and the motherboard (ECS KN1 Extreme) has a 24-pin jack on it. My main question is, does the A64 (Venice) require a 24-pin power supply?

Also, I am planning on swapping out the crappy PSU with my Thermaltake Butterfly in my other box. The power supply is currently being used with its 20-pin connector, but it has a 4-pin auxilary connector on it. Can this be used in conjunction with the 20-pin to give full power, or do I need to purchase another power supply with a 24-pin ATX connector? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
