New System... Problems?

As you can see i replaced my old Athlon 64 3000+ Sct 754, memory and board to a Intel Core 2 Duo e6400 + Gigabyte DS3 and 2 gigs Wintec AMP-X DDR2 675. Everything seems really nice and fast, so i decided to try 3dmark 2006 and to my surprise my result is almost the same, if not a bit lower, the cpu tests run sluggish as they did on my A64 Performance in games seem to have improved... Am i missing something? Even the CPU tests on 3dmark 05 run slow. Is there a patch or something to add compatibility?

I am really dissapointed and happy at the same time cuz man does this thing fly!

Result will be almost the same because if you did not change video card your score is based on the 3d settings 🙂. Look at the cpu score and see if that is faster. As for the processor running slow, it could be throttling because of heat or just on a lower multiplier of 6x.

The CPU tests are going to run incredibly slow though. Even at 4.3 ghz I get I think 12 fps or right around there.

Also if its not going fast enough overclock it some more 🙂.

Cheers

My temperatures are 40C on idle, so thats not too bad but it could be better... The multi is 8x, im gonna overclock later and gonna post some results, thanx a lot Yoxxy

I just ran a benchie with my 7900gt overclocked 550 1600 and i got a pretty respectable score: 5314 3d mark 2006 so i guess everything is fine here!
