MB: Asus P6T Deluxe V2 X58
CPU: Intel Core i7 950 Bloomfield
Ram: 12 GB. Corsair Dominator 1600
Video: XFX Radeon HD 5850 (may go crossfire yet)
HDD 1: Intel X25-M G2 160 GB..
HDD 2: WD Black 2 TB. 7500 RPM.
Sound: Creative Fatality Champion 7.1 with
LogitechZ5500 speakers.
Optical: LG Blu-Ray burner and additional DVD Burner
Case: Coolermaster HAF 922
Power Supply: Corsair HX-850 Watt ATX
Operating System: Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit
Keyboard: Logitech G19 ( and a G13 as well)
Mouse: Logitech MX Revolution
Monitor: Samsung 22" Widescreen 1080P 1920 x 1080

I can only get a 5850 video card at the moment - I tried for a 5870 for weeks. Possibly will add a 5850 in crossfire config. when more readily available instead I guess.

Looks good to me.

Though are you going cheap on the monitor? I ask since everything else looks high-end and expensive yet you're only going for a 22" monitor, unless that's something you already have and are re-using....

Just a few things....
Buy a i7 920 and put the money into the monitor.
24 inch+. Don't use a 5850 with 22 inch monitor. And crossfired 5850's demand a 28/30 inch monitor.

If it is a reused montor. Sell the Sammy to me. [:

Edit: Why do you have 12gb ram? Are you a video editor by profession?
If not 6gb is just fine for the next 2 years if your a gamer and day to day user.

So in short go with a i7 920 save $300, go with 6 gb ram, saves you 245$! = $545 dollars saved
Take that 545$ and buy a real nice large monitor.

You won't need high end ram like that.
Buy this Corsair.

Good monitor here. 28 inch Hans -g for $300. You cannot beat this monitor for the price.
Poeple might say it's not a ips panel bla bla bla, but it is a good monitor.

You still have $245 left for your crossfire upgrade.

In the end the i7 920 will be just as fast with a little overclock. Anyone can show you how to do this this in 10 min. You really won't need more then stock anyway because the 5850 is equally matched.

Unless your a professional video editor or graphics designer. You will never need more then 6gb of memory. If you do your computer will be obsolete by then.

So now you have a 28 inch screen with the same gaming capabilities for 245$ less.
The rest of your system looks great!

hmmmm I type slow sorry. See my edit above.
I see about the space for your monitor. Sucks.
get the exact space you have in your workstation and try for a 24 inch.
All monitor are not equal. Some 24inch ones might have a smaller actual footprint.
But save the money on the ram dude.
Ya know? 5770's in cross fire beat a 5870 @ 1920x1024!
Try that instead of a 5850.

I am a bit of a fanatic though....cost is not usually an issue.....more about having the latest and greatest or something like that I guess.....would like to fit a larger monitor in my desk though...did lots of research and did get the largest monitor that would fit...like 1/8" inch room left...lol.
