New system: No sound from Santa Cruz

I am putting together my new system, and have had no problems until now.
I installed the Santa Cruz Turtle Beach soundcard, but I can't get any sound!
Here is my set-up:
P4 2.4C on an Intel D875PBZLK (no onboard audio).

I am using my old speakers, so I know they are connected properly. I ran the SC Sound Check software and everything checked ok (in terms of hardware, software, etc.). I am using the newest drivers (5.12.1.4161). Device manager shows it is enabled and working properly. I have gone through all the troubleshooting steps.

Any ideas?

If you have analog speakers, plug 'em in the green slot, then go into the control panel and set it to the appropriate mode for your speakers.

If your speakers are digital, plug 'em in the Versajack, and set that to digital output.

Nope, still not working.

The speakers are digital (Boston Acoustics). I was on their website, and there was a notice that the model I have is having problems with Win XP. It gave a site to download the driver update for SB Live (soundcard that comes with the Gateway that these speakers came with). The speakers are pretty old anyway. I guess I'll have to go to Best Buy to buy new ones. (My wife is going to think I'm making all of this up. "I swear, the speakers don't work! We need new ones!!")

Actually I had the same boston accoustics as you with my old gateway. It didint work on my new system so i bought some new speakers. I reccomend the klipsch promedia 5.1. Itll be the last speaker system you buy.

$324 at newegg. Wow. They look awesome, but I enjoy being married and I think I wouldn't be if I bought these. This started out as an upgrade on our gateway. I was going to replace the CPU. But then I needed a new motherboard. And memory (1GB of DDR400 or course!). Of course, the 200 watt PSU on the old PIII wouldn't work, so I had to buy a new one. $900 later.....

I think I'll just pick up the Logitech 2.1 set. It will be an upgrade from what I have, but won't be grounds for divorce. (It's hard to defend these purchases when you're a non-working grad student).

Look at the $65-70 Logitech 5.1 set. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you can afford the extra cash.
