Need help from those in the ?know? Just wondering if this Antec True Power 380W Power supply would be enough to cut it with the components I?ll be running below. AND PLEASE NOTE: I definitely plan on Overclocking my P4 CPU.

My new Rig:

-Abit IC7 MB Canterwood
-P4c 2.4Ghz OVERCLOCKED Retail version with supplied Intel HSF combo.
-512MB OR 1GB of DDR Ram suitable for stable Overclocking (Depends on budget as to how much I?ll finally get)
-ATI Radeon 9500 Pro Retail ? Non-overclocked
-WD 120G ATA100 w/ 8MB Cache Caviar ED
-Maxtor 60G ATA 100 w/ 2Mb Cache (from old sys)
-Seagate 6.4G ATA 66(?) w 2Mb Cache (from old sys-and ready to die any day now. Right ;-)
-16X DVD-Rom (Sony or Lite On? Will buy)
-52X TDK VeloCD-RW Drive (from old sys)
-SoundBlaster Live Original w/ Digital riser card (from old sys)
-D-Link 10/100 NIC w/ WOL (from old sys)
-Panasonic or Samsung 1.44MB Floppy Drive OEM (Will buy)

This is all of the hardware that will be inside the case, hooked up to the PS. Do you think it would cut it with ?only 380 Watts, and also with me attempting to O?C my new P4c CPU? I want to get at least 3Ghz in a O'C attempt, maybe a BIT more; like 3.2 or somthing. But I'm not that greedy about it

I ask if the Antec True Power 380 is up to task, as I want to buy the Antec Sonata case, and it comes with this PS. I was going to buy a Antec 430 PS for my new system, but im just wondering if the TP380 would be just as good for the above and my Overclocking?

Opinions, please.

Thanks

The 380 should be fine. Check out this article on PSU units. The 380 Antec came in second place on raw power regardless of rating:

It never hurt to get more power... Maybe you will be future proofing should you want to expand your computer even further. That's of course if the cost of the 2 PSUs don't vary too much.

SWEET!

Well I guess that solves two hurddles at once, as I was going to buy the Antec 430 Watt PS andthen look for a case. But I read two or three SOLID and great reviews about the Antec Sonata Case. And I'll get one at Newegg for $115 with free Fedex saver shipping.

The only thing im not crazy about the case is, that its a Mid-Tower case I suppose. But I'm sure the quiteness I keep on hearing about will more than make up for it. And I'm not into 'tricked out' cases or anything. Just a sturdy black one, so this will more than do. Thanks for everyones opinion.

Now what is really going to make my Head Explode will be trying to figure out what Ram to get?
