New system, can't get 3d games to work

Just finished a system with these part. XP 1700+ DLT3C 319, NF7-S, Corsair 3200 RAM, Sapphire Radeon 9500 Non-Pro. I installed windows 98 and I had some driver problems and I was not able to run any games. Today I purchased XP Pro and installed it. I have flashed my bios to the latest. I got SP1, the latest Motherboard drivers and the latest ATI drivers. I still can not play any 3d games or run 3Dmark01. I can play Unreal Gold in safe mode. I have tried other 3d games none of them even start. I don?t know what else to try. I am getting very frustrated at this point. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
